In a remarkable coincidence, Wecan Human Resources Limited marked Nigeria's 65th Independence Anniversary with a successful maiden in-house Safety Training event held at the SPFL Dispatch Yard in Ikot Abasi. The event not only underscored Wecan HR's commitment to workplace safety but also blended seamlessly with the nation's celebratory mood.

The facilitator, Mr Matthew Mfon during his presentation emphasized that the training is poised to equip participants with critical safety knowledge and skills, promoting best practices in safety management. Described as a day of "fun and edutainment," the event aligned perfectly with Nigeria's independence celebrations, infusing patriotism with corporate social responsibility. This successful maiden event sets the stage for Wecan HR's upcoming programs.

According to Wecan CEO,Mercy Anietimfon, the event seeks to unite experts and stakeholders to shape safer, more efficient work environments, particularly for truck drivers and logistics staff in participating companies. Safety professionals and finance managers are expected to share invaluable insights, contributing to workforce development. The Safety Training, drew commendation from management and staff alike, highlight of the occasion was the presentation of awards by Wecan's MD/CEO to standout performers,recognizing excellence among staff members. Awardees included General Manager of Logistics, Mr. Awinash Kuma; Welfare Officer, Mr. Richard Adeyemi; Accountant, Talabi Adegbola; and other staff members with notable achievements over the past year,including female truck driver Uwem Obot Akpan.
